CANDLE & DIFFUSER GUIDES
GOOD CANDLE GUIDE
Smiths Scents Candles are lovingly created to provide you with hours of fragrant enjoyment. By following these simple guidelines you will ensure the best and safest performance of your candle.
1. Light your candle on a flat heatproof surface in a well-ventilated room, away from any drafts.
2. The first burn should always be between 3-4 hours, allowing the top service of wax to either nearly reach or fully reach the sides to create a full melt pool. This will prevent tunnelling during future burns.
3. Always trim your wick before re-lighting to around 4mm, to prevent smoking or sooting. Each consecutive burn should be no longer than 4 hours at a time.
4. Make sure you stop burning your candle when 10mm of wax remains at the bottom.
5. Avoid leaving debris in your candle, such as matches or wick trimmings.
GOOD DIFFUSER GUIDE
Smiths Scents Diffusers are lovingly created to provide you with months of fragrant enjoyment. By following these simple guidelines, you will ensure the best and safest performance from your reed diffuser.
1. Diffuser oil is a Flammable liquid so please do not light or ingest the oil.
2. Place your reed diffuser on a flat surface, do not place directly onto polished, painted, plastic or leather surfaces as accidental spillage may cause damage to certain materials. If spillages occur, please wipe the surface clean immediately.
3. Keep out of reach of children and pets.
4. Place the reeds that came with your diffuser into the bottle to absorb the oils. Flip the reeds so that the “dry” ends are now inside the bottle and the “saturated” ends are in the air. Your reeds will now naturally permeate your space.
5. If you suffer with perfume sensitivity, please be cautious when handling this diffuser.
6. To maintain the fragrance throw simply “flip” the reeds every week, for an optimum fragrance throw this can be done every 2/3 days.
